After the museum we headed to the Marriott Center for the big game. Going into the game BYU was ranked number 11 and New Mexico was number 10 so it was a really big game. The place was packed and noisy. Even Jacob who is a loud kid got tired of the noise. Kaley held out until the last 8 minutes when she finally fell asleep despite the roar. It was fun to be there and be apart of the excitement. We had a great time cheering our team on. But were disappointed they lost. We mitigated that disappointment with BYU Creamery ice cream though. The promise of ice cream also helped Makayla make it through the game. It was a fun day and the kids did well enough that we’ll probably do it or something similar again soon.

Go BYU Cougars
Jarl bought tickets to take us all to the BYU versus New Mexico basketball game since it was the last home game and started at 2:00 making it reasonable to take the kids to. We turned it into a day trip to BYU. We drove down, ate peanut butter and jam sandwiches in van, and then enjoyed a few hours at the Bean Life Museum. The kids liked seeing all the different kinds of animals, touching things, watching movies, and seeing part of the reptile show. It was neat to be able to experience a tiger and lion head up close, feel fox and otter fur, touch rhino skin, and see just how big elephant and giraffe feet are. It was also cool to see various bears and get a real sense of their size. The Kodiak Bear is really impressive.
